The 2012 Connoisseur’s Selection is now available – strictly limited to 100 individually numbered 250ml bottles.

Our first cold pressed 2012 Connoisseur’s Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil is pressed within hours of harvesting from olives grown in Kangaroo Valley where the rich fertile soils and Mediterranean climate ensure only the finest quality.

For our 2012 Connoisseur’s Selection, KVO has blended an EVOO mainly comprising Corregiola and Leccino Olives all grown in Kangaroo Valley, which has resulted in a rustic full-bodied oil, greenish in colour with a strong pungency and perfect buttery pepper notes as a finish.

The 2012 Connoisseur’s Selection is very much a “finishing oil’ which will pair beautifully with rib-eye steaks; swirled through lovely creamy mash potatoes; or drizzled over steamed vegetables or pasta.

Our first cold pressed Limited Release Extra Virgin Olive Oil is pressed within hours of harvesting from olives grown in Kangaroo Valley where the rich fertile soils and Mediterranean climate ensure only the finest quality.

Select olives varieties are chosen by our Master Blender to produce this exceptional extra virgin olive oil with fresh fruity flavours, grassy aromas and hint of pepper, ensuring a well balanced finish.

Use this premium oil as the finishing touch to steamed or char-grilled vegetables, as a dipping oil paired with fresh sourdough (and possibly paired with Kangaroo Valley Olives Balsamic Vinegar).

Truffle oil use is limited only by your own imagination. Drizzle a little over fresh salads prior to tossing; splash a little into your favourite soups; or add it sparingly to your gravy or sauces. Kangaroo Valley Olives Classic Tapenade shows true fruitiness with the texture, length and intensity of kalamata olives combined with the saltiness of capers and anchovies. This savoury tapenade is equally delicious served at room temperature as part of a cheese board or hot with grilled or BBQ meat; and adds depth of flavour to a vinaigrette or drizzled over blanched green vegetables.

Serve with a glass of chilled white wine, perhaps accompanied with goats cheese crostini or swirl through pasta to make a simple Spaghetti alla Puttanesca.

Our Kangaroo Valley Olives Tartufo: Porcini & Truffle Tapenade presents with an intoxicating aroma and an earthy and sensual flavour of porcini mushrooms and truffle essence.

Whilst tapenade is usually eaten as an hors d’oeuvre spread on crackers or bread, it also works wonderfully as a crust or stuffing for roasted or panfried meats and is ideal as a base for pizza topped with fresh mozzarella, rocket and some extra whole Kangaroo Valley Olives. When thinned with warm olive oil, our Tartufo: Porcini & Truffle Tapenade also makes an excellent base for pasta sauces.
