Classic Tapenade

Kangaroo Valley Olives Classic Tapenade shows true fruitiness with the texture, length and intensity of kalamata olives combined with the saltiness of capers and anchovies. This savoury tapenade is equally delicious served at room temperature as part of a cheese board or hot with grilled or BBQ meat; and adds depth of flavour to a vinaigrette or drizzled over blanched green vegetables.

Serve with a glass of chilled white wine, perhaps accompanied with goats cheese crostini or swirl through pasta to make a simple Spaghetti alla Puttanesca.

Alvarez: Chilli Tapenade

Our Kangaroo Valley Olives Alvarez: Chilli Tapenade is packed with flavour - the palate is full and seamless with the heady mix of olives and chilli providing a perfect balance between heat, saltiness and strength of body.

Perfect when added to stir fried beef or chicken; tossed into hot vegetables; or mixed into freshly cooked pasta drizzled with our finest Kangaroo Valley Olives extra virgin olive oil and topped with diced fresh tomatoes. Enjoy with glass of pink Grenache or a crisp Riesling.

Tartufo: Porcini & Truffle Tapenade

Our Kangaroo Valley Olives Tartufo: Porcini & Truffle Tapenade presents with an intoxicating aroma and an earthy and sensual flavour of porcini mushrooms and truffle essence.

Whilst tapenade is usually eaten as an hors d’oeuvre spread on crackers or bread, it also works wonderfully as a crust or stuffing for roasted or panfried meats and is ideal as a base for pizza topped with fresh mozzarella, rocket and some extra whole Kangaroo Valley Olives. When thinned with warm olive oil, our Tartufo: Porcini & Truffle Tapenade also makes an excellent base for pasta sauces.

A delectable gourmet delight - pair this taste sensation with a glass of Shiraz or for a more traditional European wine choice, try Lambrusco or Sangiovese.

Eden: Sweet Fig and Olive Tapenade

The exceptional and unique flavour of our Sweet Fig and Olive Tapenade (made with kalamata olives grown in Kangaroo Valley) makes it ideal for both sweet and savoury fare. Excellent with a range of cheeses, from the mild creamy camembert through to aged Cheddar, strong blues or Stilton. Perfect also as a sweet spread on toasted flatbreads and ciabatta.

Serve our Sweet Fig and Olive Dip with a shot of expresso or accompany with a glass of late-harvest dessert wine such as botryitis semillon where the heightened acidity balances with the sugars, producing a wonderful clean sensation in the mouth.
